Detox Smoothie

Did you have a few too many Christmas mince tarts over the break? Have a bit too much fun? I don’t know about you but I have gained a few kilos and need to kick start my healthy eating! This smoothie is a great way to do just that. It hits the excess of the festive season from all sides- a nutrient blast from leafy greens, the bloat busting actions of mint, parsley, cucumber and celery and the detox actions of lemon juice, ginger and fibre filled chia seeds and pear.  If you are feeling very brave, top it off with a blend of cayenne, cinnamon, turmeric to give it an ultra-detox kick!

·       1 cup kale leaves

·       1 cup spinach leaves

·       1 tablespoon of fresh mint

·       1 tablespoon of fresh parsley

·       ½ cup chopped cucumber

·       ½ cup chopped celery

·       1 small pear or apple peeled and chopped

·       1 banana, chopped

·       1 cup water

·       1 tablespoon of Radiance Coconut Water Powder

·       Juice of 1 lemon

·       ½ tablespoon Radiance Chia Seeds

·       ¼-inch slice ginger root, peeled

Optional Ingredients

·       pinch of cayenne,

·       pinch of cinnamon

·       pinch of turmeric

·       1 teaspoon of Radiance Spirulina Powder
